Team Member Substitutions
New this year - Team Advisors may designate up to two (2) additional students who will serve as Team Substitution Candidates. In the event an emergency or unresolvable time conflict prevents one or two of original five-member team from competing at the 2022 NCF-Envirothon Ohio Competition, then 1 of the substitution candidates can step in to compete.
Advisors - Designation of Substitution Candidates is optional, but be advised that NO team member substitutions will be made if they are not designated before the Team Registration Deadline (June 10). If substitution candidates were not designated at that time, but one or two of the 5-member team is unable to compete, then the remaining team members may still attend the 2022 NCF-Envirothon Ohio Competition, but will participate/compete as exhibition only (e.g., not eligible for prizes or awards).
To designate eligible Substitution Candidates, please enter their names below and then have each complete the Individual Team Member Registration form before the Registration Deadline. Failure to do so will make team member substitutions ineligible.
Note:- • Substitution candidates will not attend the NCFE annual competition as a student participant unless they are needed to replace an original team member. However, substitution candidates (and a Chaperone if student is under the age of 18) may register as a Guest.
- • Substitution candidates must meet ALL of the following criteria in order to be considered:
- a. Must be enrolled in grades 9 -12 and reach age 14 – 19 at the start of the current year’s competition. Non-traditional schools and youth organizations must follow the grade level and age limitations as set above.
- b. Must be from the same school, non-traditional school, or youth organization as the original competing team.
- c. Must have participated in an Envirothon program/training prior to their state/provincial/partner nation Envirothon competition in order to compete at the NCFE Annual Competition.
- d. Must be affiliated with their local conservation district or equivalent sponsoring organization/agency.
- e. Must complete all official team member registration forms by the set registration deadline.
- f. Must read, agree to, and sign the NCFE Rules and Regulations and Student Code of Conduct by the set registration deadline.
The complete Team Member Team Member Substitution Rule (Section II) can be read here.

They will be able to share their notes with the whole team at the Team Study Session that evening.
Advisors - Please assign one team member per Station for each of the 3 Sessions below.
