Due to housing limitations and insurance liability concerns, all Guests of the 2023 NCF-Envirothon New Brunswick competition should be 18 years of age or older in order to attend. If you have a minor who wishes to attend as a Guest, accompanied by an Adult that is NOT serving as a Team Advisor or Chaperone, then please contact NCF-Envirothon at administration@envirothon.org for approval BEFORE proceeding further!
Each request will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.

NCF-Envirothon participants have an excellent reputation for honesty, sportsmanship and integrity. An individual’s conduct at any Envirothon function should make a positive contribution to the reputation that has been established by previous participants.

Guidelines for Working with Minors (Best Practices for Safely Working With Minors)
- As an NCF-Envirothon adult participant, it is our duty to prevent harm towards minors in our care. The following are behavior guidelines for adult participants while working with minors. The purpose of these guidelines is to provide a safe environment for both adult participants and minors and to raise awareness of how to manage risk when minors are present in the competition. This policy shall be provided to all adults for their review and acknowledgment of compliance with the guidelines at time of registration. These guidelines emphasize the responsibility that adult participants, parents/legal guardians and minors each have in ensuring a safe and successful competition.
- For the following guidelines, please note that: “Minors” includes any team member between the ages of 14-19 years old and minor guest under the age of 18. “Adult Participant” includes Operating Committee members of NCF-Envirothon, state/provincial/partner nation Envirothon representatives, registered guests, advisors/chaperones and volunteers. “Parent” is considered both parents and legal guardians of the minor.
