Canon Scholarships & Prizes:


Canon U.S.A., Inc. will provide Canon Scholarships to students who place in the top 10 at the Canon Envirothon and Canon products to students who place in the top 11-15. Canon products will also be awarded to the Volunteer Advisors and Conservation Districts/Forestry Associations whose teams place in the top15 at the Canon Envirothon.

Teams placing in the top ten overall will also receive a trophy or plaque appropriate for display.
 
A non-monetary award is awarded to the team that receives the highest score on the written test for each of the five testing categories and the preliminary oral presentation. Each member of the winning team will receive one award.
 
Scholarships


Members of the top ten teams will be awarded Canon Scholarships that can be used toward a four year university, two year college or trade school. Students will have two years after graduation from high school to use the Canon scholarship money. For all students receiving Canon scholarships, the process to claim the money will be the same. The student will submit the tuition bill from the university, college, or school to the executive director of Canon Envirothon. The executive director will then forward the bill to the Canon Envirothon treasurer who will issue a check directly to the school for the amount allowed.

Envirothon Extra Mile Award:
The Envirothon Extra Mile Award is awarded to the team demonstrating the most spirit, cooperation, leadership, and friendship during the Canon Envirothon.

Three to five anonymous judges selected by the Canon Envirothon chairperson will observe and evaluate each team throughout the duration of the Canon Envirothon. Previous to the Awards Banquet, all anonymous judges will report to a designated room to discuss their observations and to determine a winning team.
 
The Envirothon Extra Mile Award is sponsored by the National Association of Conservation Districts Auxiliary. During the Annual Awards Banquet, the winning team will receive a $100 cash prize and a plaque or trophy appropriate for display.
 
Rookie Team Award:
The Rookie Team Award is awarded to the highest scoring team representing a state/province that has not previously participated at the Canon Envirothon. Teams that have participated as a "demonstration team" will also be eligible to compete for the award.
 
The highest score is calculated as the combination of the five station tests and the preliminary oral presentation.
 
The Rookie Team Award is sponsored by the National Association of Conservation Districts Auxiliary. The winning team will be announced at the Annual Awards Banquet where they will receive a $100 cash prize and a plaque or tropy appropriate for display.
